Green and the space between
In my work, I try to show the lasting relationship between nature and man, focusing on the tree, specifically on the depiction of the canopy, or green leaves, which draws its life energy (water) deep underground. Through invisible, underground paths, hidden directions to our eyes, water finds roots that penetrate deep underground with its branches in search of the necessary life essence it needs for growth, survival and constant renewal of the life cycle.
By depicting the greenery and variations of leaves, its movement and flicker, I try to remind how the speech of nature is unobtrusive, simple and meaningful and encourages us to inner and spiritual communication. Water and nature regenerate us, connect us to the source and the renewable power it contains. Internal communication, which takes place, seeks to emphasize the simplicity of life (nature), in which everything is meaningful and perfectly placed, so I pay hommage to the plant world and give impetus to think about the harmony of nature, plants, trees, greenery and the world. Anthropocentrism, as a characteristic of today's relationship to the earth and nature, has disrupted that relationship, as well as the ideal of balance between man and nature that has long since been lost. Although a bit utopian, I try to become aware of the severity of the resulting split and at least seemingly restore the lost balance and establish the necessary balance.
