Lost in time

With the cycle "Lost in Time", the artist continues her long and complex dealing with the past – the past of her own, her family, native and ultimately - universal.

The initial gesture of reminiscence is achieved through the inclusion of old photographs and postcards, which are sometimes colored by the author or transferred to the medium of drawing. Drawing is, after all, the core of the creative and construction process, as well as the artistic manuscript of Gordana Špoljar Andrašić. It extends from an abstraction or a reduced line, to figurative, sometimes photographically precise and sometimes more freely conceived compositions - in this case the depiction of children, citizens, decorative architectural elements, city squares and streets.
